How is the procedure performed?
Incision
The surgeon makes a horizontal incision along the lower abdomen, usually from hip to hip. This allows for the removal of excess skin and fat, addressing the abdomen’s contour.
Muscle Tightening
After removing tissue, the surgeon tightens the underlying abdominal muscles by suturing them together, strengthening the abdominal wall and contouring its appearance.
Skin Repositioning
Once the muscles are tightened, the skin is pulled down to eliminate the excess skin. The surgeon repositions the skin and closes the incision with sutures for a flatter, more toned abdomen.
