How is the procedure performed?
Anaesthesia Administration
The procedure typically begins with the administration of anaesthesia, which can be local or general, depending on the extent of the surgery and the patient’s preference.
Incision and Cannula Insertion
Small incisions are made in the target areas, and a thin tube called a cannula is inserted. This cannula is used to break up and suction out the excess fat.
Fat Removal and Closure
The surgeon carefully removes the fat through the cannula, and adjusts the area for desired contouring. Once complete, the incisions are closed, and compression garments may be applied to support healing.
