Tips for Uploading Photos

The person taking the photos

It’s best to have a friend or partner take the photos for you. Selfies often don’t capture the details accurately, so having someone else take them will provide clearer images.

Photo angles

  • Front view
  • Side view (both sides)
  • 45-degree angle view (both sides)

To capture a complete and accurate view, make sure the photos are taken from about 1.5 to 2 metres away.

Background and lighting

  • Use a plain, uncluttered background, like a blank wall.
  • Ensure there’s plenty of light; natural light from windows and additional artificial lighting works best.
  • Avoid using portrait mode—ensure the entire image is in focus.
  • Photos taken with a smartphone or a modern camera are usually sufficient, but they must be clear and sharp.

Sending your photos

Please send the original, high-resolution photos without compression or edits, as altering them can cause blurriness. You can also email them to info@drmarkohout.com.au (up to 10MB per email) or use the photo upload form above.

  • Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart and your arms relaxed at your sides.
  • Keep a natural, relaxed posture.
  • Take a photo from the front, left side, right side, and, if possible, at a 45-degree angle on each side, about 1.5 meters away.

Stomach Photos

  • Stand upright, ensuring your underwear or swimwear is pulled down to the pubic bone to give a clear view.
  • Maintain a relaxed posture; don’t suck in your stomach.
  • Capture photos from the front, left side, right side, and a 45-degree angle on each side, approximately 2 metres away.

Face Photos

  • Tie back your hair with a hair tie or headband, and make sure you are makeup-free.
  • Take photos from the front, left side, right side, and, if possible, at a 45-degree angle on each side. For the 45-degree images, align the tip of your nose with your pupil.

Nose Photos

  • Tie back your hair with a hair tie or headband, and make sure you are makeup-free.
  • Take photos from the front, left side, right side, looking down to the floor and also looking up to the ceiling.
